This magnificent, characteristic ‘chaumière’ (house with a thatched roof) is located very picturesquely in a green valley within walking distance from the sea. The house is located in the village of Vaucottes, at 520 km from the Dutch border, between the enjoyable bathing resorts of Fécamp and Etretat. Etretat is surrounded by high limestone cliffs and is definitely worth visiting because of its small streets, boulevard and characteristic buildings. In the summer, there is a sailing school and on top of the ‘falaises’ lies an 18 holes’ golf course. Fécamp, somewhat bigger, is a lively place with a large harbour. The famous Benedictine liqueur was invented here in 1510 by a Benedictine monk of which a museum and an abbey still remind. The house has an enclosed garden (about 2.000 m²) consisting mainly of a lawn where the children can play safely and a terrace (35 m²) with sufficient garden furniture. Drive with sufficient parking space. Next to the ‘chaumière’ lies a guest house for 2-4 persons which can be rented (extra costs) together with the ‘chaumière’.

Large, attractively furnished living room with arm chairs, sofas, coffee table, cupboard and fireplace. Dining room with large dining table and chairs. Kitchen, separated from the dining room by a bar, with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and oven. 3 Bedrooms (all on 1st floor): (2 x single bed), (3 x single bed) and (1 x double bed). The third bedroom can be reached through another bedroom and the toilet room located in between, or from outside through a stairway. 2 Bathrooms: ground floor one bathroom with shower and chest of drawers for babies; 1st floor 1 bathroom with bath. Between bedroom 2 and bedroom 3, a room with a wash basin and separate toilet is located. Separate toilet on ground floor. Scullery with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The guest house has a living room with arm chairs, a double sofa bed and a dining table with chairs. Open kitchen with refrigerator, freezer and oven. Mezzanine to be reached through an open stairway with (2 x single bed). Bathroom (ground floor) with shower and toilet. The guest house has been furnished in such a way, that one can stay there fully independently from the ‘chaumière’.

Beautifully situated holiday house! Of all the conveniences in and around the house with. Children's playground and the sea with gravel beach within walking distance. Wonderful place to relax.

Beautiful house, very comfortable, includes everything you can possibly need except a TV. A little walk to the beach (pebble) between rocks.

A huge comfortable house with great facilities. A grill (gas), microwave, stove including an oven, dishwasher, Wireless internet, 2 fridges, washing machine, spin drier, water boiler, blender, no TV, fireplace, huge domain with a big playground and a useful kitchen garden, owner lives close and is easy to reach, in about 5 minutes you reach the beach, for a part existing out of rocks, for a part existing out of grit, but there is also some sand, when the water stands high it is also possible to swim, shops are only accessible by car in a 5/10 minutes drive. For swimming, walking and to take a rest and especially for families with children the house is absolutely perfect.
