Setting
This independent and luxurious villa is situated in a calm, rural area at only 600m from the village Saint Marcel sur Aude, where you can buy your daily needs. The famous ‘Canal du Midi’ is situated at 2 km. This canal is a 240 km long river in the South of France that links the river “Garonne” with the Mediterranean Sea. The Canal ends at the fishing city Sète. The Canal was first meant to shorten the distance of nearly 2000 km from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, around the hostile Spain (which was one month sailing in the 17th century). In 1996 the Canal du Midi has been added at the list of world heritages of UNESCO.

Loisirs dans la région
The old, Roman city of Narbonne is at only 9 km. In this city there are still many historical buildings and monuments. It is divided in two by the Canal de la Robine. You can hire a motorboat and sail over this river. At 18 km is the natural park “Narbonnaise” with the “Massive of Clape”, well known for the beautiful walking, mountain bike and alpinism tracks. At 50 km is the notorious city of Carcassonne and the established city of Saint-Louis with its medieval centre where you can find many historical constructions. At 27 km you will find the picturesque and family friendly fishing place and bathing resort of Gruissans with its white sand beaches.

This spacious villa has a large, beautiful and well maintained, fenced garden (3500m2) with amongst others grass field, covered terrace of 50m2 and in front of the house a terrace of 40m2. There is a Summer kitchen with barbecue, bar, fridge, coffee machine, micro-wave, shower, toilet and a large, secured, private swimming pool (12 m x 6 m), with around a solarium with a sufficient number of garden furniture. The children have more than enough space to play.
